Initially quoted for 1000 people, this is an event which looked and sounded amazing (Thanks to Rob and his Yamaha LS9 desk).
The stage supplied was a 38' Inflatable stage which looked amazing!!(Thanks Tim).
When we arrived the stage and sound had already been setup so we had free run on the lighting, our brief was to light the band, the perimeter and the crowd. Lovely :)
When subhiring, we will only use the highest quality companies and staff who have the same high customer care and equipment quality that we hold in stock!
We will never use anyone with limited knowledge or substandard equipment.

Simple brief; Light everything! We supplied decorative lighting inside and outside to one of the oldest and most beautiful oxford university buildings.
We supplied lighting equipment to uplight stairwells, corridoors, main rooms, building entrances and trees all around the grounds. 700 people attended this event

James Bond Themed 6th Form ball for 400 people, We were given free run and took an Event management Role in supply and design of all their lighting and sound requirements.
Whilst speaking directly to the Prop company who were supplying all the james bond style equipment
Our brief was to make the room look funky and to exagerate the james bond props through lighting.
Most people would say that young adults may not appreciate the effort that has gone in to making this event look as good as it did. Although at this event the atendees wouldnt leave us alone
Every 5 minutes we had another person come and thank us and say how great it looked and sounded! Maybe we can out do the american school balls in the UK after all?

Casablanca style ball where reds and golds where the theme indoors and Blue and green was the theme outside, At this event in oxford city center we lit up 10 trees, 2 Manor houses/Quaters, 4 marquees and 6 rooms inside
We hired the client a range of LED Uplighting, metal halides, nightclub lighting, Projectors for films and 3 PA systems for bands, DJ and the film room

This wedding took place in quite an old oxford mansion, with beautiful sweeping staircases and pillars. The brief was to control all of the lighting to fit within the colour scheme for the first 3 hours of the event. Then slowly evolve it to include more colours as the meal was finishing, then at the end have it going a bit more crazy, to help everyone get one the dance floor!!

This was actually at a MASSIVE village hall, we thought the client was over specifiying his event but when we turned up the dimensions he had supplied were right it was a huge venue. We supplied all the lighting and sound for his event along with a sound engineer for the band. once the band had finished our sound engineer left and they carried on with their ipod/Laptop setup

This event was a bit of a last minute job and had lots of stairs! It was a nightclub event for 400 people in a club/Hall. The client had hired lighting from another compnay but had actually forgotten to ask them about a PA system! Fortunately we were on hand to sort them out!!

Wedding in Berkshire

Turning up we see a beatiful silk lined marquee, the client decided not to go with the same compnay for their uplighting as it was static (Standard Lamps) and it actually worked out to be quite a bit more expensive than our most expensive LED Lamps. We do say to people when it comes to purchasing equipment you do get what you pay for! When it comes to hiring you most definately need to shop around and see examples of what you are getting first! The scheme for this marquee was blue purples and reds We used qui9te alot of LED units including Par 56, Par 64, LED Battons and LED Floods. We chained all of the LED through a DMX desk so that all the colours would stay the same until the evening when the client wanted the whole marquee to move to the music. So come 21:00 the DMX settings are changed and all of the LED are Flashing changing colour etc with the beat of the music. Unfortunately we dont stay at any events so we didnt get to see it but the client was extremely happy with the results!!

From lingerie to high fashion, we have seen it all over the past week
oxfords first fashion week took place in Oxford city center at several of the universitys, the bridge nightclub and the malmaison hotel.
We were on hand to make sure that each event looked good and supplied soft glows to each and every model
These events were very intimate and friendly and so did not require follow spots as previous more corporate fashion shows have done in the past

In a sleepy village on the border between Oxfordshire and bucks, featured an indoor showcase with a fire capacity of around 500 people.
There were a total of 3 bands from oxford playing there and a DJ/Disco inbetween. The main feature of the event was the band called a Silent film,
which have recently released their first album and have just finished a tour around parts of europe.
This band is best known for its cover of born slippy, please youtube it, we think the track is great!
ACDisco Supplied the FOH, Monitoring and a selection of Lighting effects. All staff/Engineers were supplied by the client

This Oxford school has been reknowned for its charitable work and since linking up with a school in the Gambia they have helped raise enough money to build them Halls and toilet blocks.
We feel privalleged that we can be part of their fundraising when going to such a worthy cause.
The event featured over 30 acts/Performances they also had 5 bands playing a variety of unreleased and cover songs

When we hire lights and are going into any Oxford venue "dark" with just photo's of the layout and design of the interior it can be quite intemidating if you dont know what you are doing
We have been lucky enough to design the lighting setups for quite a few events in the time that ACDisco Lighting and PA Hire has been running, most of which have been without seeing the venue in full!
This event was no exception, we spent the first 10 minutes examining the power and the most efficent use of the lighting. 1 hour later we had left after setting thelighting up during the day.
So we had to visualise what the lights would look like when it got dark!
When we returned at 2am to collect the lighting system which the client had hired,
we drove towards the venue to see bright green vivid looking trees followed closely by an extremely bright Aqua/Blue coloured barn
Pulling up whilst the last of the Party Goers stumbled off to their taxi, we walked inside to be greated by the mother of the bride,
all i can say is that we were booked for her next daughters wedding straight away, even though the other daughter is single!!

The venue had a capacity of 400 people but only 210 were in attendance, we decided that we did not want to use the venues inhouse lighting at all
we wanted the room to be purple and blue, which is exactly what we had!!
Even the venue came up to us after my wedding and said it was the best looking wedding they had ever seen in their venue!!
Needless to say i think we will be there again! we promise that we will set up and take down at your discretion (Within reason, please phone for details).
